Terms and Conditions

  • All quotes to be dealt with by phone or email prior to acceptances whilst quoting against other firms.
  • No Animals or Children near work area.
  • Curtains and blinds to be removed prior to installations.
  • No standing at back of fitters in case of falling debris.
  • Payment on completion of work by debit card or cash.
  • Small marks in frames may occur as a result of opening doors/windows.
  • No guarantees on beading not breaking whilst extracting from frames.
  • Small optical marks or optical phonemina  may appear in toughened or coated glasses this you will appreciate can happen and is normal with the high levels of performance we now have with the various glasses, please refer to www.twinseal.co.uk and browse their web page on optical glass toleration pages this is a very comprehensive website that will answer most questions or concerns.
  • Standing from 3m away with tough or coated glass if marks can be seen  (52mm from edge is acceptable for small marks) then you may have a justified reason for a free replacement. Units must not be judged looking into the sun as this causes optical distortion and shows miniscule marking from ceramic rollers from the toughening process.
  • No guarantees on single glazing post installation.
  • Pilkington k glass/Energy glass may have a milky haze or can cause moisture on external face at times (normal).
  • Painting/filling of wood is not our responsibility.
  • Any callbacks after 3 months labour is chargeable and or parts utilised
  • Removal of customers own glass is at their risk, re removal for furniture.
  • No guarantees to old frames or doors to enhance working performance (when glazing or hardware fitting is involved). Further site visits are chargeable.
  • This would include tilt and slide doors, residential French doors, or single residential doors mechanical parts and operation of ie hinges and locks etc. Window sashes mechanics or post leaking or draft issues (new doors and windows we can’t guarantee against total curing of draft issue) new door mechanisms and window mechanisms carry a 3 month warranty period.
  • Marks to carpets or blinds or furniture is not claimable as we advise them to be removed before any installations
  • Any small shards of glass or dirt left by fitters may occur due to the nature of the job we advise the customer to check the work areas and hoover or brush way. No stopping of payments can occur for this reason.
  • We do not try to cure leaking doors or windows to a 100 percent conclusion this we feel is impossible on old products conservatory roofs we do not attempt to work on .
  • All unpaid invoices will be sent to a debt collection agency after one month if no money is paid for whatever reason we reserve the right to remove the products as they are our goods.
  • Any customers not happy with our installations have 72  hours to report the said faults they have concern with. We recommend all work be inspected and tested within this period, we will not accept any callbacks or refunds or threats of trading standards post 72 hours. We have a good reputation and have been highly trained by top tradesmen in our field. We treat every job like it’s for our own house! Or my mother’s!
  • Glazed pieces in leaded lights are not guaranteed as the lead maybe damaged or moveable because of lead bending. These are only temporary repairs that need repairing long term by a lead repairer artist studio.
  • Acoustic glasses made up units are not covered in old frames to enhance total noise evasion to the said prior states of noises from the outside. These are noise reduction solutions only.
  • Once satisfaction notes are signed the client loses all chances to put in claims to this firm for faults with the said materials or workmanship of the contract.
